New Specification for Printed Dry Erase Boards

Well over 90% of our business has been for customers with existing facilities. We did a job toward the end of last year for the Mt.Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg, KS that was a new construction project. You can see more information about this job at Mt.Carmel. The architect for this project liked our printed dry erase boards and asked for a specification. We had not written a spec for printed dry erase boards, but we did it for this architect, and have actually found that architects designing new hospitals want to include the patient information signs in the contract documents.

With all that said, you can get this spec at Printed Dry Erase Specification. Just look for the list of .pdf files available for download and get the specification.

We encourage feedback both on the spec itself and whether hospital dry erase boards really should be in the contract documents for new construction.

Trade Show Schedule for Murerase Custom Dry Erase

We are going to two trade shows this year. Both shows are to promote Murerase custom printed dry erase boards to the health care industry.

The first show is April 9th to the 13th, and is the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE). The show is in Indianapolis, IN. We will be exhibiting in booth #509, and look forward to meeting many of our customers and potential customers. You can get information about the show at the AONE website, http://www.aone.org/.

We have learned that the executive nurses are the key decision makers who decide on patient information boards and tracking boards throughout the hospitals. Most of the boards that we make for hospitals are magnetic dry erase boards. They are warrantied for 5 years.

Take a look at our latest boards for medical facilities at www.murerase.com/med_main.html. We have recently added a number of new jobs in our gallery in this section.

The other show that we're going to is the Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo. It will take place at the Navy Pier in Chicago. Show dates are September 14-16. We will be exhibiting in booth #415 at this show. This is a show for architects, administrators and others involved in the new construction and renovation of healthcare facilities. We will be very interested to find out if dry boards for patient rooms can or are part of the new construction specifications and contract. We are partnering in this exhibit with Fry Intregral and their Graph wall system. We have recently completed two hospitals with Fry that involved both graphic and dry erase boards.

See additions to our website that show the jobs at Oakbrooke CHKD and Mt. Carmel SDU unit. They are both shown on http://www.digistone.com/ and on our page in the http://www.arcat.com/ catalog.
